I WON YARN !!! wooohoooo Toomuc Valley Yarns Prize =D

Today I was blown away by winning some gorgeous yarn from one of my very favourite stores Toomuc Valley Yarns.

You can see what delights she sells in her store here http://toomucvalleyyarns.com/

I won FOUR SKEINS !! can you believe !! that’s just BEYOND generous :O  I’m still so very surprised and omg excited hahahaha

I chose these ones 😛

This one is Just a Wish Away. It’s a gorgeously divine mix of NZ Kid Mohair Blend. 85% Kid Mohair and 15% Merino and it’s 3PLY !! I’ve never felt a 3 ply before and I can’t wait. I’ve got just the most perfect project in mind. Though I’m worried my big clumsy man hands won’t be able to use it hehe it is 100g and about 530m. WOW that’s LONG !

This one is called Mum’s Apple Pie! YUM YUM !! I can see a gorgeous little cardi for my little Ali with this delicious skein. It is a DK weight yarn and 100g of New Zealand MW wool.

This delightful skein which i’m sure is going to make me SWOON with pleasure with it’s softness is called Peachy Keen. Now…. I’m being VERY selfish with this one. I have a friend that has a sweet little baby named Sabrina that would look so gorgeous in this but then it might make myself a beautiful little thing for ME ME ME …. we’ll see 😉 it is 100g’s of omg 50% Bamboo and 50% wool !! imagine the smooshyness ❤ *sigh*

My final skein is Cool Caribbean. This one DOES have Sabrina’s name on it. Her mama doesn’t like the pinky girly traditional colours that I’d LOVE LOVE to knit for her so I think this is a very nice compromise. I think it’ll make a wonderful in three’s cardi for her 😉 it’s a worsted weight wool so it’s just perfect AND I have the most delightful little buttons to match !!

Needless to say, tonight was a GREAT NIGHT !! I’m so thrilled and still grinning with happiness

Thank you so much Nicole, I’ll show you the photo’s when I’ve made the goodies.

YAY Finally some yarn with bamboo !!

Once again I am buying some lusciousness from Kelly Casanova. See her gorgeous etsy store HERE

Kelly advertised a pretty skein of 50% Bamboo and 50% Wool on her Facebook page at a great price so I thought I would pick it up to knit something for my friend’s babe. I can almost feel the squishyness of the bamboo and wool combination already!

oh I love you my friend BAMBOO !!

oh I love you my friend BAMBOO !!

To go with this Kelly offered me another skein at a good price from her store to make the postage worth it. *snickers* it’s ALWAYS worth it for yarn 😉 so I chose this, I don’t know what I’ll do with it yet …..

A dress for a friend’s baby girl

One of my closest friends is having a baby girl next January and so i’m on the hunt for a pretty little dress to gift to her.

I have found this dress called Dana from Ravelry.com. I’m not sure if I can accomplish it though because of the lace work but it’s so delightful that I have to give it a go !

For my big boy

I’ve been wanting to buy some yummy yarn to make a winter jumper for one of my bigger boys for next year and have honestly been a bit hesitant to spend so much money on it.

These beautiful skeins were a de-stash from a lady on Facebook and I adore the colours so I bought them. Thankfully I sold two lockets from my store on the weekend so the money wasn’t a problem hehe YAY  Only $20 per skein! bargain.

Beautiful Colours for a winter wooly !!

Delicious new yarn buys !!

I’ve mentioned Toomuc Valley Yarns before in this post HERE when I bought some delicious Berry Smoothie yarn that I knitted into a cowl for myself.

Well she’s opened a gorgeous little store at Etsy !!  Check it out HERE

Toomuc Valley Yarns had a beautiful stocking last night and I couldn’t resist some gorgeous new yarn ❤ I bought a few skeins for myself and one to knit up a little dress for my friend’s little girl when she’s born! I’m really looking forward to her birth, i’ve got 6 boys so you can imagine how itchy I get wanting to knit for a precious little girl.

Here are my purchases, all in DK

I bought two of these amazingly sunny yellow skeins. I might put them into my Autumn coloured throw somehow, we'll see when I get them ;)

I bought two skeins of this delightful colourway too ! I think a pullover for next winter will come out of this for either Elias or Ishaq. I've got some pretty yarn to match for a trim.

And a single skein of this beautiful colourway for my friend's little girl. I will go and dream over little dress patterns soon!
